Well it's blogging Monday and I'm borrowing a friend's computer so I'll have to keep it short and sweet.
At the bowmaking workshop yesterday a raccoon wandered through. I have a feeling it was ill, and heard some gossip that it had been attacked by coyotes earlier, so I took some photos but kept my distance. Some other people herded it to some water in case it needed a drink and then I lost sight of it.
The Pasadena arroyo was hot as expected, but in the shade, as long as there was a breeze, it was pleasant enough. I worked on two knitting projects. Other people worked on new bows, or showed off their arrows or planned going to an event back east called MOJAM.
As we were getting in the truck to head home around 6 PM I couldn't find my keys. I was afraid I'd lost them in the dry dirt and leaves at the archery workshop. As I was frantically looking through my tote bag my boyfriend said that when we were leaving Lee's sandwiches that morning in Rosemead, the cashier held up a gob of keys and asked if they belonged to anyone. It never occurred to him that they might belong to me. So we had to swing by there on the way home when we were supposed to be going to his Grandmother's house. They had the keys alright, but he was none too happy with me.
We made the best of it though and his mom actually drove there to meet with us instead and she treated us to ice cream.
